LAMPWORK
Lampwork is the process of making a bead from molten
glass by wrapping it around a mandrel, shaping it and
embellishing with frits (small chunks of glass),
additional glass or silver, then putting it into a kiln to
anneal so that it will be resistant to breakage.
My lampwork is usually the starting point of my
particular piece of jewelry and I go in whatever direction
it sends me.  I try to incorporate Lampwork and Silver
Clay in each of my pieces.
Silver Metal Clay

Silver metal clay  consist of microscopic precious
metal particles suspended in an organic binder
and water.  It looks like modeling clay, is smooth
and malleable and is worked with the hands. Once
the clay is made into an object, it is fired in a
kiln, the binder burns away and the final project is
.999 fine silver.
